- Consumers have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract; see article 7.
- Cancel more than 7 days ahead at no charge; later dates follow article 8.

1. Scope and order of documents
These terms apply to every quote, booking and service of Gregorxyra B.V. (the studio), trading as Gregorxyra, of Bilderdijkstraat 78, 1053 KM Amsterdam. They cover Voice and voice-over recording, Mixing, Mastering, Podcast recording and Live and band recording, and any custom work we confirm in writing.
The contract is, in this order: the special terms on the accepted quote, these conditions and — if you are a business client and you hand us other people’s personal data — the data processing agreement, which prevails for that data. The privacy policy is information; it does not rewrite the contract.
A client’s own purchase terms apply only if we accept them in writing. Sending the contact form or calling 020 261 4873 does not create a contract. If you do not accept these terms, do not accept the quote.
2. Definitions

| Session | The reserved studio slot, with an engineer. |
| Working day | Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in the Netherlands. |
| Deposit | The part of the price paid when you book, equal to 30 % of the VAT-inclusive amount. |
| Recording | The sound fixation made during a session, including session files. |
3. Who we are
The contractor is Gregorxyra B.V., a private limited company (B.V.) with capital €100, Chamber of Commerce 60126156, VAT NL822390267B01. Statutory director: Saskia de Vries. Address: Bilderdijkstraat 78, 1053 KM Amsterdam, Oud-West. Telephone 020 261 4873, email [email protected]. The full colophon is on the legal notice.
The studio has 3 rooms (live room 30 m², booth 11 m², control room 20 m²) and 18 microphones. At most 8 guests per session. Hours: Monday to Friday 10:00–22:00, Saturday 11:00–18:00, by appointment; closed Sunday. The studio is on Bilderdijkstraat in Oud-West, about a ten-minute walk from Leidseplein. Trams 1 and 7 serve the Bilderdijkstraat stop, roughly three minutes on foot from there. The entrance is at street level, which makes bringing cases or instruments straightforward.
4. Pre-contract information and formation
Before you are bound, the site and the quote set out the core of the service: what we do, the price, the planned date, who we are and how withdrawal works when it applies. That matches the pre-contract information duty in Book 6, Title 5, Section 2b of the Dutch Civil Code (distance contracts with consumers).
A request by form, phone or email is answered within 2 working days with a written quote. The quote is valid for 30 days. The slot is reserved only once we have your acceptance and the deposit; until then it can go to someone else.
For a distance contract we confirm the booking by email, repeating the quote. We may refuse a job for a legitimate reason, for example if the project does not fit the rooms, the diary or the safety rules. Reading the FAQ or the guides does not bind you.
5. Prices and VAT
Amounts on the site and on the quote are in euros, including 21 % VAT, unless we state the net figure separately for a trader. The price that counts is the price on the accepted quote. Guide rates (VAT included):
- Voice and voice-over recording: €88 per hour, €318 for 4 hours, €595 for 8 hours
- Mixing: €225 per track, €78 per hour, €890 for an EP of up to 5 tracks
- Mastering: €68 per track, €295 for an EP of up to 5 tracks, €520 for an album of up to 12 tracks
- Podcast recording: €82 per recording hour, €228 for a finished episode, €64 per hour of editing only
- Live and band recording: €98 per hour, €355 for 4 hours, €645 for 8 hours
Net figures look like €72.73 for an hour of voice recording or €185.95 for a mix. Extra time after the reserved block is billed only if you ask for it, per half-hour started, at that service’s hourly rate. Options (stems, an extra export, another half day) appear on the invoice only if they are on the quote or you ask for them later in writing. The full service list is on services.
6. Deposit and payment
When you book you pay 30 % of the VAT-inclusive price. That is a deposit: it is later set off against the balance. It is not a retainer that vanishes automatically; whether it comes back depends on article 7 and article 8.
Payment is by bank transfer. At the studio we can also take a card payment if the quote says so. Consumers pay the balance on the session day. For work we deliver remotely (mixing, mastering, editing) the balance is due when we deliver the version you accept as final, or that counts as final after the included revisions.
Traders pay within 14 days of the invoice date. Late payment by a trader attracts statutory commercial interest under article 6:119a of the Dutch Civil Code, plus extrajudicial collection costs under the Dutch extrajudicial collection costs decree, with a floor of €40. While the balance is outstanding we may hold back finished files; working copies stay archived as in article 12.
7. Consumer right of withdrawal
If you book as a consumer at a distance (email, phone or the form), you may withdraw within 14 days of the contract being formed, without giving a reason. That right is in article 6:230o of the Dutch Civil Code. It does not apply to a contract you sign at the studio.
If you want the session or the work to start during those 14 days, you must ask for that expressly. If you then withdraw, you pay a proportionate amount for what was supplied up to withdrawal (article 6:230v BW). The right is lost for a service that has been fully performed before the period ends, if performance began after your express prior consent and you acknowledged that you would lose the right (article 6:230p BW). The same article excludes withdrawal for work made to your specifications or clearly personalised, such as a mix or master we have already finished to your brief.
Withdraw with an unambiguous statement to [email protected] or by post to Bilderdijkstraat 78, 1053 KM Amsterdam. You may use the model below. We refund within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal, by the same means of payment, unless we agree otherwise (article 6:230s BW). This article does not cut down your statutory rights.
Model withdrawal form
To Gregorxyra B.V., Bilderdijkstraat 78, 1053 KM Amsterdam, [email protected]:
I/We (*) hereby give notice that I/we (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract for the following service:
- Ordered on (*):
- Name of consumer(s):
- Address of consumer(s):
- Signature (only if this form is notified on paper):
- Date:
(*) Delete as appropriate.
8. Cancellation and rescheduling by the client
| When | Effect |
|---|---|
| More than 7 days before the session | Reschedule or cancel at no charge. On cancellation we return the deposit within 14 days. |
| 7 days or fewer, up to the session | The deposit is carried once to a new date within 6 months. If you do not pick a new date, the studio keeps the deposit. |
| No-show, or same-day cancellation | The studio keeps the deposit, except in force majeure as in article 16. |
Reschedule or cancel by email or phone, and confirm it in writing. Arriving late on the day shortens the session by those minutes; we cannot automatically overrun if the next block is taken. This table sits beside article 7 and does not limit that right.
9. Cancellation or change by the studio
If we have to drop a session — a broken chain, a sick engineer, a problem in the building — we tell you as soon as we can and offer a new date. If that date does not work, we refund everything you have already paid within 14 days. We do not swap in another engineer than the one on the quote without your agreement.
A small shift of the start time on the same day, with your consent, is not a cancellation. If our impediment lasts more than 28 days and we cannot find a date together, either of us may end the contract and we refund work not delivered.
10. How sessions run
Sessions are by appointment, within Monday to Friday 10:00–22:00, Saturday 11:00–18:00, by appointment; closed Sunday. The live room is for playing together; the booth is for an isolated voice. What you bring (instrument, laptop, references) is agreed beforehand, for example with the guide prepare a vocal session or estimate a mixing budget.
You treat rooms and equipment with care and follow the engineer’s instructions. Smoking and vaping in the building are not allowed. We may stop a session if people or kit are at risk; the reserved time then remains due. Damage to our equipment caused by culpable conduct is on you. Gear you bring stays in your charge; your own insurance is wise.
For hearing we work at moderate monitoring levels, with breaks and earplugs on request. Food in the control room is by agreement; non-alcoholic drinks are fine. The entrance is at street level, which helps with cases.
11. Age
We welcome makers from 16 years. If the person booking is under 18, a legal representative books and pays. Until 18 a chaperone stays for the whole session, unless we agree otherwise in writing for a 17-year-old who clearly works independently.
The website is not a service aimed at children. The contact form is for adults, or for a parent writing on behalf of a minor.
12. Delivery, files and archive
Unless the quote says otherwise, we deliver WAV 24-bit, via a download link or on a drive you bring. Mixing and mastering clocks start when we have complete, playable stems or sessions; we count working days. Which master format you need is sketched in mastering file formats.
We keep a copy of the session for 24 months after the last working day on the project. We then delete that copy. It is your job to secure files during that window. Longer storage is possible if we agree it in writing. A lost personal backup after that period is not a default by the studio.
13. Revisions
Mixing and similar post-production include 2 revision rounds, as described on the mixing page. A round is one bundled list of notes that we handle in one pass. Extra rounds, or a new artistic direction after you have signed off a version, go through a quote first.
Mastering uses the same count unless the quote sets another rule. Podcast editing at €64 has no fixed number of rounds: we work the hours you book. Voice and band sessions are live time; there is no “revision of the take” as such, but you can sing or play again inside the block.
14. Intellectual property
Your works. Compositions, lyrics and arrangements you bring stay yours or their authors’. You clear rights in covers, samples and quotations, and you handle the paperwork with collecting societies. The studio claims no copyright in your works. For podcast music, podcast music rights is a practical starting point, not legal advice.
The fixation. The producer of a phonogram is the person who takes the initiative for the first fixation and bears responsibility for it (Dutch Neighbouring Rights Act). When you commission and pay for the session, that role is yours. To the extent the studio could still claim rights in the takes made for you, it assigns them once the invoice is paid in full.
Performers. Fixing and exploiting a performance needs the performer’s consent. You obtain that consent for musicians, voices and guests you bring. The studio supplies the technical work and acquires no exploitation right in the performance.
Voice and automation. We do not use your recordings to train, test or improve artificial-intelligence systems, and we do not make a voice clone without specific written permission from the person concerned.
References. We do not name you or your project as a reference without your written agreement.
15. Liability
The studio deploys the means that belong to this craft: treated rooms, the microphone stock we list, an engineer named on the quote. How a song sounds also depends on your preparation, arrangement and choices. We do not promise a hit, a playlist slot or a fixed stream count.
We are liable only for an attributable shortcoming, and then for direct loss that was foreseeable when the contract was made. That cap does not apply to intent or wilful recklessness, nor to personal injury, and it does not take from a consumer anything mandatory law gives them. Towards a trader, outside intent or wilful recklessness, the total per job is limited to the VAT-inclusive amount of that quote; consequential loss such as lost turnover is excluded.
The website disclaimer covers the public pages only, not the session itself.
16. Force majeure
Neither party has to perform if a failure is caused by a circumstance that is not its fault and that does not fall to it by law, juristic act or generally accepted standards. The prevented party tells the other as soon as it can what is going on.
The session moves to a date we pick together. If the impediment lasts more than 28 days or no date works, either of us may end the contract. We refund amounts for work not delivered. Your own transport falling through, or a forgotten hard drive, is not force majeure on our side.
17. Personal data
We process contact and project data to reply, plan, invoice and run the session, as set out in the privacy policy. The form runs through FormSubmit in the United States; you can avoid that transfer by using [email protected] or 020 261 4873.
If you are a trader and you give us other people’s data (guests, voices, staff), the data processing agreement applies. A recorded voice can be personal data. We publish no clip or session photo without your prior written consent.
18. Complaints
Send a complaint in writing to [email protected] or to Bilderdijkstraat 78, 1053 KM Amsterdam. We reply within 2 working days and try to settle it between us first. Gregorxyra B.V. is not affiliated with a recognised dispute committee; we do not invent a mediator who is not in our file.
If it stays unresolved, a consumer may go to the competent court, or first ask an independent information desk such as ConsuWijzer of the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets. That is not a required step and not a dispute body of our own.
19. Governing law and forum
Dutch law applies to these terms and to the contract. We do not use a clause that strips a consumer of the court of their domicile: a consumer may, at their option, sue among other places where they live or where the studio is established, as far as the law allows.
Disputes with a trader go to the District Court of Amsterdam, unless mandatory law points to another court. The Dutch text is authoritative; this English version is a faithful translation for information.
20. Final provisions
If a clause is void or avoided, the rest stays in force and we replace the invalid sentence with a valid one that stays as close as possible to the aim. Not relying on an article is not a waiver. We may change these terms; a booking already made keeps the version that sat with the accepted quote. The published version took effect on 1 October 2026 and was last checked on 1 October 2026.
Questions about these terms: [email protected], 020 261 4873, or the contact form. For the colophon see the legal notice.
